It seems to be becoming a foregone conclusion that Bradley Barcola will move on from PSG this summer.

There was a particularly telling sign in that regard on Tuesday, as the France international’s interaction with sporting director Luis Campos after the Parisiens defeated Aston Villa 2-1 in the UEFA Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are looking like a ‘favourable’ potential destination for the left-sided winger amid ongoing negotiations with the Ligue 1 champions.

Footage relayed on X (formerly Twitter) by @AnthhingLFC_ shows the former Lyon man warmly embracing Campos after full-time.

And this, of course, comes amid the backdrop of public, ongoing negotiations between Liverpool and PSG for the player’s signature.

Personal terms, as has been widely reported, are deemed to be no issue between the Reds and Barcola. However, it seems we’ll be relying on PSG to relax their stance on the forward’s £145m price tag if we’re to get this deal over the line.

We strongly suspect some middle ground will be found once the Champions League holders confirm deals for both Ferran Torres and Mika Godts.

There is no future for Barcola at PSG

We’re hesitant to read too much into post-match interactions, but it has to be said that Barcola’s body language in the aftermath of the cup final hardly spoke of a footballer who’s delighted with his current lot in life.

Yet again, he was overlooked by head coach Luis Enrique, who fielded Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and new signing Maghnes Akliouche on the flanks. Rather tellingly, the 23-year-old didn’t even make it on the pitch as a second-half substitute, with international teammate Ousmane Dembele called to the fray at the half-time break.

More to the point, if reports are to be believed, Enrique has made it plain that he wants nothing to do with footballers who aren’t fully committed to life at PSG.

So, with the mounting body of evidence available, it feels like there’s no way back for Bradley Barcola in the French capital.

And with his contract expiring in two years, the current window represents PSG’s best chance to capitalise on his value.
