According to TheArgus.co.uk, Brajan Gruda has returned to the Bundesliga, joining RB Leipzig on loan for the rest of the season.
The Albion midfielder has been in and out of the side, showing flashes without establishing himself.
Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler said: "Brajan wants regular football, and we are not able to guarantee him that in the second half of the season, so this loan represents a good move for all parties. "This move gives him that opportunity, a chance to continue his development and we wish him well for the remainder of the season."
Gruda has operated on the right for Albion as well as in his preferred No.10 role. He joined from FSV Mainz in summer 2024 after a breakthrough Bundesliga season.
Last summer he helped Germany under-21s reach the Euros final, where they lost to England.
Leipzig sporting director Marcel Schafer said they were immediately enthusiastic when the chance to loan him now arose, and that the club had tracked him for several years after trying to sign him in 2024, keeping contact open. He sees Gruda featuring as a number eight or 10, adding further options.
The move starts a deadline day that is expected to see Matt O’Riley return from his loan at Marseille.
