Inter arrive at the Bentegodi on the back of a decent run of form across all competitions, but Augusto warned against any complacency.

The early 12:30 (local time) kick-off, he admitted, presents unique challenges in preparation and rhythm.

Meanwhile, he believes Inter’s professionalism will make the difference.

“It’s always great to win,” he said. “Today will be tough and complicated, especially with the early start, but we have to give everything to take the three points.”

Augusto added that the squad’s mentality under Chivu has evolved in recent weeks.

Indeed, an emphasis on flexibility and quick adaptation regardless of conditions or opponents.

For the Brazilian, wearing the Inter shirt always means playing to win, no matter the circumstances.

“When you wear this shirt, you have to honour it every time,” he concluded. “We know what’s at stake and we’re ready for the battle.”
