Club-affiliated outlet DeichStube reports that Werder Bremen are considering a move for SC Freiburg forward Eren Dinkçi.

The 24-year-old scored only once in his first stint for Bremen, in a 1-0 away win at Mainz in December 2020.

He has hinted at unfinished business, saying, “I still have a dream. I want to score a goal at the Weserstadion.” Any pursuit could gain urgency if Justin Njinmah were to leave for England, as Bremen would need an attacking replacement.

Dinkçi left Bremen for Freiburg in 2024 for €5 million after an impressive loan at Heidenheim. He failed to establish himself in Breisgau and returned to Heidenheim on loan for six months of the 2025-26 campaign.

During that spell he registered three goals and three assists in 14 appearances. Bremen had declined a loan move for him in the winter window at the time.
