Breno Bidon to stay at Corinthians after Besiktas talks end | OneFootball

Breno Bidon will remain at Corinthians after his representatives ended discussions with Besiktas on Thursday. The 21-year-old midfielder had attracted interest from the club in Türkiye.

According to Globo.com, Besiktas signalled an 18 million euro deal, about R$ 107 million, with 12 million up front and the rest in instalments. After weeks of contact, no formal bid arrived, and with Türkiye’s window closing on Friday the timeframe was tight.

Agent Fernando Brito of Dodici Sports said he ended talks due to a lack of confidence in the project. He highlighted long-term work with Corinthians since under-14, and said the club were willing to weigh a bid below their valuation if the player chose to leave.

He added it would not be fair to act otherwise with Corinthians and that prolonging the issue was not healthy. With a match on Sunday, he said the focus is on a Brazil call-up and winning the Libertadores.

Bidon is contracted until the end of 2029. His release clause is 100 million euros, R$ 593 million at the current rate, for foreign clubs and R$ 370 million in Brazil.

A regular under Fernando Diniz, he has 143 appearances and six goals. He won the 2025 Paulistão and Copa do Brasil, and the Supercopa do Brasil earlier this year.

Corinthians budgeted R$ 150 million in transfer income for 2026 but have yet to sell a player.
