France held a light training session the day after their World Cup semi-final defeat to Spain, with Brice Samba cutting it short due to a calf problem.

According to L'Équipe, the squad returned to Bentley University on Wednesday in hot, gusty conditions, and only the previous night’s substitutes took part.

During the 15-minute window open to the media, the group worked through a rondo drill.

Lucas Digne and Adrien Rabiot jogged under the supervision of fitness coach Cyril Moine.

Samba left the pitch early alongside the team doctor. The extent of his calf issue is yet to be determined.
