Brice Samba tops Rennes 2026 salary list as wage bill falls 20%

According to L'Équipe, Brice Samba is Rennes’ highest earner on €400,000 a month, with the club’s wage bill down 20 per cent. The France number two goalkeeper is now followed by two summer arrivals.
Last season’s podium featured Seko Fofana on €400,000, Samba on €400,000 and Steve Mandanda on €300,000, with Arnaud Kalimuendo at €250,000 next. Kalimuendo has since left, Mandanda has retired and Fofana is on loan at Porto. The current figures are estimates excluding bonuses.
Behind Samba, Breel Embolo is on €350,000 and Valentin Rongier on €275,000 per month. Next in the hierarchy are Mahdi Camara, Sebastian Szymanski and Lilian Brassier, each on €220,000.
Completing the top 10 are L. Blas on €200,000, Q. Merlin on €185,000, A. Rouault on €170,000 and A. Seidu on €160,000.
The average monthly gross salary at Rennes is €118,000.
