Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Dario Vidošić has taken a period of absence from his position due to family reasons.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Seagulls last night.

The 38-year-old was appointed Brighton & Hove Albion head coach in summer 2024 and he guided the club to a respectable fifth-place finish in the Barclays Women’s Super League last season. The Seagulls have continued to progress under his leadership this term.

Vidošić prepared the team for this afternoon’s Adobe Women’s FA Cup fourth round tie against Nottingham Forest, however, he has since had to take a period of absence for family reasons. Chris Roberts and Arthur Brammer have been placed in interim charge of first team affairs.

After Vidošić’s absence was announced, Brighton & Hove Albion’s women’s and girls’ managing director, Zoe Johnson said “As a club, our priority is to support Dario at this difficult time. We ask that his and his family’s privacy is respected.

“Chris and Arthur will have the full backing of the players, staff and the wider club during this interim period.”

At this stage, it is not known when Vidošić may return to Brighton & Hove Albion. The club have 10 fixtures remaining in the Barclays Women’s Super League this season alongside any domestic cup fixtures.
