Brighton sign Jaouen Hadjam from Young Boys in €13m deal

Brighton have signed 23-year-old Algerian left-back Jaouen Hadjam from Young Boys of Bern. The club confirmed the move on Tuesday, with the fee estimated at €13m including €2m in bonuses, and he has agreed a deal until June 2031.

He heads to England after around two and a half years in Switzerland.

A Paris FC academy graduate, Hadjam showed early promise before joining Nantes in 2023. He struggled to establish himself there, making 23 appearances.

His January 2024 switch to Young Boys revived his career.

Hadjam featured at the 2026 World Cup, playing three matches for Algeria, and he has 21 caps.
