Bristol City have confirmed the appointment of Michael Skubala as their new First Team Manager, with the 43-year-old signing a three-year contract that runs until 2029.

Skubala arrives after an impressive spell in charge of Lincoln City, where he built a strong reputation for progressive, high-energy football. Last season, he guided the Imps to the League One title in record-breaking fashion, collecting 103 points and securing 31 victories along the way. That success saw Lincoln promoted to the Championship for the first time in 65 years, marking a historic achievement for the club.

His achievements were recognised across the league, with Skubala named both EFL and LMA Manager of the Season for his outstanding campaign.

His work at Lincoln has attracted attention from higher divisions, with Bristol City ultimately moving to secure his services after the departure of Roy Hodgson’s interim spell in charge.

The Robins are believed to have triggered a release clause in order to bring him to Ashton Gate, underlining their confidence in his long-term project.
