Bruma ends Benfica deal, not in Marco Silva’s plans, ‘to sign’ for Aris | OneFootball

Record reports that Bruma has ended his Benfica contract and will travel to Greece to join Aris as a free agent.

The winger is not in Marco Silva’s plans for 2026/27, and Benfica had been seeking a resolution to his future after most transfer windows closed.

Clubs in Greece can still register players, but the Salonika side were not ready to pay a fee, so the parties agreed a termination instead. Bruma is due to fly on Sunday to sign a one-year deal with an option for a further season.

The 31-year-old had been under contract until June 2028, with two seasons remaining. Talk that he might demand the full value of the remaining term has been dismissed.

Bruma joined Benfica from Braga in January 2025 for 6.5 million euros. The former Olympiacos player spent last season recovering from injury, appearing in only three matches, and has not featured this term.
