Gianluigi Buffon has thrown his support behind Luciano Spalletti, as he believes the manager is the right person to take Juventus to the next level.

Spalletti has been Juventus manager since last season, and his arrival coincided with an improvement in the team, although he failed to lead them to the Champions League.

Juventus have started this season with Spalletti in charge, and the club are looking to continue progressing. However, inconsistent form has led some fans to question whether he is the right man for the job.

Spalletti Continues to Lead Juventus

Under John Elkann, Juventus have shown a willingness to make changes, meaning Spalletti will continue to earn the right to keep his position after every match. As a result, there is no guarantee that he will remain manager at the end of the season.

However, the club like Spalletti and remain confident that he can do well on the bench. The managerial situation is therefore stable at the moment, which also aligns with Buffon’s view of the Juventus boss.

Spalletti’s first period in charge gave Buffon enough evidence to support the manager. Although Juventus missed out on the Champions League, Buffon believes the team’s performances deserved more and that the results did not always reflect what happened during their matches.

Buffon Backs Juventus Manager

Buffon was speaking about Juventus and explained why he remains confident in Spalletti.

He said via Calciomercato:

“Spalletti is a Juventus certainty. He proved it in my opinion last year in his first six months in black and white. Unfortunately, they didn’t go to the Champions League, but I never cling to bad luck and bad luck, but matches that played very well didn’t go as they deserved. And unfortunately this was paid dearly.”

Buffon’s comments underline his belief that Juventus can continue progressing under Spalletti. Despite the team’s inconsistent form, the former goalkeeper remains confident in the manager and believes his work at the club has already demonstrated his ability.
