Burkina Faso: Three U-17 national team stars attend training camp in Brazil

After Burkina Faso’s impressive run in the Copa Victor 2026, three rising talents have been selected to attend a training camp with Brazilian club Palmeiras.

According to the Burkina News Agency (AIB), three standout players from the U-17 national team are currently benefitting from a training camp with the Brazilian giants Palmeiras. The trio includes Mohamed Konate from Basga JO Academy, Lionel Sobiga from Real du Faso, and Sharif Traore from AJA Abidjan.

These three players caught the attention of scouts from the club that produced Estevão, Endrick, and Gabriel Jesus, and now have the chance to showcase their talents until February 18. In an interview with the "Integral Foot" program on RTB, Burkina Faso’s national television, the head coach revealed that Palmeiras is also closely monitoring seven other players from the same squad.

For the record, Burkina Faso’s U-17 team finished as runners-up at the Copa Victor 2026. After an exceptional tournament, the Young Stallions narrowly lost (0-1) to Palmeiras in the final on January 29.
