Cadiz defender Carlos Akapo was forced off in the 75th minute against Real Madrid through injury following a strong challenge from Eden Hazard.

Akpo was caught late by Hazard's high boot, and referee Antonio Mateu Lahoz showed the Belgian a yellow card for the incident.

Akapo was angry with the decision and took to social media after the match to show the impact of the challenge on his right foot.

He also uploaded a picture of the X-Ray and announce the extent of the injury he had suffered.

"Thanks to those who were worried, I have broken the second and third metatarsal," Akapo said after the 1-1 draw.

"Now it is time to recover and go all out next weekend."

Cadiz coach Sergio Gonzalez spoke about the Hazard challenge in his post-match interview.

"[Akapo] has a bad injury, it was a bad tackle," he said.

"I don't know if it was a red card or not."
