Oussama Lamlioui returns to competition

RS Berkane will travel to Nigeria to take on Rivers United FC in the second matchday of Group A of the CAF Champions League.

For this clash, Mouine Chaabani could count on a major boost with the return of his striker Oussama Lamlioui. The 29-year-old forward has recovered from the injury he picked up against Union Touarga on October 5 in the Moroccan league.

With six goals scored at the 2024 CHAN, which Morocco won, Lamlioui was crowned top scorer of the tournament. He was also in the running for the CAF Interclub African Player of the Year award, which ultimately went to Fiston Mayele (Pyramids).

Both injured on matchday one, Mohamed El Mourabit and Youssef Mehri will miss out this time.

The Rivers United FC vs RS Berkane game is scheduled for Friday, November 28, 2025, kicking off at 16:00 GMT.
