This is the INTERViews podcast, the official SempreInter.com podcast, discussing all things Nerazzurri, today focusing on Cagliari 0-2 Inter Milan Match Day 5 2025/2026 Serie A season win.
Firstly, in today’s episode on SempreInter.com, Gianmarco and Alessandro discuss, analyze and debate all aspects of the 2-0 win.
Inter fielded a very strong team despite rotating pretty heavily. In fact, Federico Dimarco and Denzel Dumfries were both rested.
This was due to the upcoming Champions League Match Day 2 clash against Slavia Prague tomorrow night, Tuesday.
Therefore, it was reassuring to see the Nerazzurri dominate from the first kick of the game.
In the 9th minute Alessandro Bastoni set up Lautaro Martinez who broke the deadlock.
The half ended with the Nerazzurri in the lead.

However, Inter continued as they left off in the first half.
Continuing to dominate and create chances. Which is why it was surprising that the Nerazzurri doubled their lead as late as in the 82nt minute.
This after a wonderful build up from Inter. A move which ended with Federico Dimarco squaring the ball for Francesco Pio Esposito who made no mistake.
However, Cagliari did hit the post but the win was never really in doubt.
Cagliari barely created anything despite that. Inter controlled the procedure and were able to without much fuss.
Therefore, the match ended with a 2-0 win away to Cagliari.

Furthermore, the season in Italy is getting back on track. Three points, two goals scored and none conceded after creating loads of chances from open play.
In conclusion, Inter Milan now have to continue getting the Serie A season back on track after two losses and three wins.
Next up the Nerazzurri host Slavia Prague at the San Siro tomorrow Tuesday 18.00 CET kick-off. In the Serie A Inter Milan host Cremonese at the San Siro on Saturday evening at 18.00 CET.
