Cameroonian Vincent Aboubakar is about to join a new club!

The long-running transfer saga surrounding Vincent Aboubakar appears to be reaching its conclusion, with the Cameroonian captain poised to reignite his career at Neftçi Bakı in Azerbaijan.

The path to this agreement, however, wasn't straightforward. While negotiations between the player and the Azerbaijani club have been ongoing for weeks, they hit a temporary impasse due to Aboubakar's substantial salary demands. Now, a resolution has been found for the currently clubless striker.

According to information from Ali Aydin, the 33-year-old is finalizing a move to Neftçi Bakı, with the terms set for a one-year contract that includes an additional optional year.

Although he also attracted interest from Iranian sides Esteghlal FC and Persepolis, the veteran attacker, who is valued at €1.2 million by Transfermarkt, has chosen Azerbaijan as his next destination.
