Ten days after a highly charged 2025 Africa Cup of Nations final, the Senegalese case has landed before the CAF disciplinary committee. The controversy centers on the Lions of Teranga's reaction following a disputed penalty against Morocco—an episode that led to a collective walk-off and a series of incidents both in the stands and on the pitch.

Head coach Pape Thiaw is among the main individuals targeted, along with several players. According to L’Équipe, the sanctions under consideration are expected to be restricted to African competitions and should not jeopardize Senegal's qualification for the World Cup.

Relying on official reports (refereeing, security), the committee is proceeding with caution. FIFA, for its part, has condemned the disturbances, emphasizing their unacceptable nature, while hinting that any potential measures would remain confined to the continent.
