Sudan qualifies without scoring..

Sudan/@CAF
Sudan made history during this Africa Cup of Nations – CAN 2025 by reaching the round of 16 without any of its players managing to find the back of the net.
Qualifying for the next round without having rattled the opposition’s net is now a reality. That’s the feat Sudan pulled off, punching their ticket to the round of 16 by finishing third in Group E.
Beaten by Algeria (3-0) and Burkina Faso (2-0), Sudan clinched a precious victory against Equatorial Guinea (1-0), thanks to an own goal by Saul Coco in the 74th minute.
In doing so, the Jediane Falcons shattered the old rule that no team in CAN history had ever qualified without one of its players scoring a goal.
Now, the Sudanese will have to take on the Lions of Teranga this Saturday at 16:00 GMT, and this time their attack must deliver if they want to pull off another shock and bring down the 2021 champions.
