The Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2025) has reached the semi-final stage, with just four teams left battling for a spot in the final.

The Pharaohs face the Teranga Lions for the first time since their heartbreaking defeat in the penalty shootout of the 2021 CAN final on February 6, 2022 (0-0, 4-2 on pens).

Egypt knocked out Benin (3-1 after extra time) and Ivory Coast (3-2) to book their place in the last four. Senegal, for their part, dispatched Sudan (3-1) and Mali (1-0).

Brahim Diaz and his teammates edged out Tanzania (1-0) in the round of 16 before seeing off Cameroon (2-0) in the quarter-finals, while Eric Chelle's men steamrolled Mozambique (4-0) and Algeria (2-0).
