MIAMI – The Final Round of the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-17 Qualifiers continued Thursday with Canada and Puerto Rico gaining victories in Group B.
Puerto Rico and Canada lead the group with six points each, with Las Boricuas leading Group B on goal difference. Panama and Nicaragua will enter the final matchday in search of their first wins of the campaign.
Panama 0, Canada 2
Canada won 2-nil against Panama at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.
Melisa Kekić opened the scoring in the 35’ with a header off a corner kick.
Emma Reda extended the lead for The Reds in the 60’ with a right-footed shot from the center of the box.
Nicaragua 0, Puerto Rico 4
Puerto Rico earned a 4-nil win against Nicaragua at Estadio Nacional in Managua, Nicaragua.
Jayla Walton struck from a penalty kick in the 35’ to place Puerto Rico in front.
Jaeda Russell penned her name on the scoresheet in the 55’ with a right-footed shot from outside the box to extend Puerto Rico’s lead.
Gabriella Garnett made it three for Puerto Rico in the 59’ with a left-footed shot inside the penalty area.
Journie Feliciano added a fourth in the 87’ with a right-footed shot from the left side of the six-yard box to put a bow on the victory.
