Carbone has left Flamengo to join Swiss side Lugano, who announced the defender on Tuesday on a contract running until mid-2029.
According to Globo.com, he terminated a Flamengo deal that ran only until the end of this year to sign in Europe. Flamengo will retain a percentage of the 21-year-old's economic rights for any future sale.
A Flamengo academy graduate, he had aged out of the under-20s and would have needed promotion to the senior squad. He was not in coach Filipe Luís's plans for this season.
His only senior appearance for Flamengo came in this year's Carioca. He started the 3-0 defeat by Volta Redonda and was sent off after two bookings in only 10 minutes.
At youth level he helped win the under-20 Copa Libertadores and Intercontinental titles in 2024 and 2025. In last year's world title, he took the decisive penalty against Barcelona at the Maracanã.
