Manchester United said in a statement that Cameroon midfielder Carlos Baleba has joined from Brighton, subject to registration. The 22-year-old moves for a reported £70 million, about €82 million.
Baleba made 112 appearances for Brighton, including 92 in the Premier League, across three seasons. He arrived in August 2023 from Lille.

He has 16 caps for Cameroon. Baleba becomes United's third midfield signing of the summer after Youri Tielemans and Andrey Santos.
United finished third in the Premier League last season and are directly qualified for the Champions League this season.
Michael Carrick's side opened the campaign with a 2-0 defeat at newly promoted Hull City on Saturday.
