Colombia have named their squad for the next FIFA window, with Flamengo midfielder Jorge Carrascal omitted. The federation announced the list on Thursday 17 September.
The Brazil-based call-ups include Jhon Arias of Palmeiras, Andrés Gómez of Vasco, Kevin Castaño of Atlético-MG and Kevin Viveros of Athletico-PR. Richard Ríos, formerly of Flamengo and now at Benfica, is also in.
Carrascal was in Colombia’s 2026 World Cup squad but did not play, remaining on the bench in every match. Head coach Néstor Lorenzo has left him out for this window, which runs from 21 September to six October.
Colombia will play three friendlies in the United States. They face Mexico in Baltimore on 26 September, then Paraguay in New Jersey on two October, before Peru in Miami on six October.
Flamengo have call-ups elsewhere, with Giorgian de Arrascaeta and Guillermo Varela selected by Uruguay. Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti has included Pedro and Samuel Lino.
Gonzalo Plata and Anthony Valencia could be called by Ecuador, having featured at the World Cup. Jorginho is on Italy’s preliminary list and may return to the national side.
