Carrascal sparks Fla as win keeps them second | OneFootball

Flamengo beat Mirassol 2-0 at the Maracanã to remain second in the Brasileirão.

Jorge Andrés Carrascal Guado put the hosts ahead in the 14th minute, racing onto Pedro's pass and firing into the top right. Lucas Paquetá then glanced in a cross from Carrascal (43.) to give Fla daylight by the interval.

An injury to Walter late in the first half led to Alex Muralha taking over in goal at the break. After the restart, Giorgian de Arrascaeta drew a save from Muralha (52.) as Fla pressed for a third.

Mirassol threatened sporadically, but Agustín Rossi saved well from Igor (55.) and later denied Bruno Santos in the third minute of second half stoppage time to protect the clean sheet.

There was a lengthy stoppage for Walter's treatment before half time, with four minutes added, and six indicated at the end of the game.

Fla registered 14 attempts and had 56.2% possession. Mirassol produced eight attempts.
