Jorge Andrés Carrascal Guado opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a precise right-footed strike, as Flamengo beat Mirassol 2-0. The midfielder set the tone for a controlled home display.

Carrascal burst onto Pedro's pass in transition and rifled into the top right from the right side of the box (14.). It was a clinical finish that tipped the contest towards the hosts.
