Carrascal was Flamengo's standout as they beat Mirassol in the fourth round of the Brasileirão, scoring a superb opener and setting up Lucas Paquetá. Leonardo Jardim's side impressed before fading after the break.

Globo.com notes Carrascal topped the ratings. He struck on 13 minutes, finishing a move that involved Samuel Lino and a selfless pass from Pedro. In the first half, Varela also missed a clear one-on-one.

Erick Pulgar again excelled, slicing a fine pass in the build-up to the opener, then was forced off on 30 minutes with a thigh problem. Evertton Araújo replaced him, but he too went off at half-time, with Arrascaeta introduced.

Arrascaeta struggled to influence proceedings and Flamengo lost control in midfield, with Jorginho tiring. Even so, Léo Ortiz, Léo Pereira and Ayrton Lucas were solid, and goalkeeper Rossi was rarely troubled, dealing safely with Mirassol's three efforts on target.

From 27 minutes of the second half, Saúl and Bruno Henrique were sent on without much impact, and Everton arrived on 36 minutes. Samuel Lino continued his good form before tiring. Jardim's changes did not add the desired spark, though Flamengo managed the result.
