CD Castellón are pressing on with preparations for Sunday’s game against Ceuta while monitoring red weather warnings today and Friday. According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, the club plan to work as normally as the conditions allow.
The team trained without issue today at Ciudad Deportiva La Coma and intend to repeat tomorrow morning if the rain permits. Depending on how the day breaks, the club could shift the session time.
Agustín Sienra is scheduled to speak in the SkyFi Castalia press room, with head coach Pablo Hernández set to address the media on Saturday instead. On the eve of the game, the session is usually moved from La Coma de Borriol to SkyFi Castalia, but this week it will depend on the rainfall’s impact and the state of the pitch.
Pablo Hernández will be without injured Fabrizio Brignani and Jari Vlak, suspended Jeremy Mellot, and internationals Maty Orozco, Rodrigo Rego and Amir Saipi. Those are six confirmed absences that will test the squad’s depth.
Wing-back Juanjo Nieto left the match at Leganés with discomfort and his progress will be monitored.
For Sunday, forecasts point to occasional rain with no orange or red alerts at present, so barring a drastic turn of events the match will be played at 18.30 at SkyFi Castalia.
