CD Castellón will pay tribute to Ceuta before Sunday’s LaLiga Hypermotion fixture at SkyFi Castalia, which kicks off at 18.30. The club plans solidarity gestures following last summer’s mass arrival of migrants in the autonomous city.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, a message of support will be broadcast over the PA, complemented by visuals on the big screen and the pitchside LED panels.
As is customary, visiting supporters will be welcomed over the PA, and the Castellón players will take the field in shirts backing Ceuta.
Head coach Pablo Hernández will be without six players for the leaders’ next outing, two injuries, one suspension and three on international duty, which will require him to make changes.
Jérémy Mellot is suspended after his red card against Leganés. Jari Vlak has an ankle sprain, with long-term absentee Fabrizio Brignani also out.
Maty Orozco remains with Colombia after his senior debut, while Amir Saipi is with Kosovo and Rodrigo Rêgo with Portugal Under-21s.
Ceuta, who include former albinegros Bodiger, Koné, Lapeña and Mamah, have endured a difficult start. They secured their first win of the campaign last week, against Real Sociedad B.
