The Confederação Brasileira de Futebol has recorded the termination of right-back Mayke’s Santos contract in its BID on Thursday, one week after the player filed a court action to end the deal unilaterally.

According to Diario Do Peixe, the 33-year-old had been out of Cuca’s plans and was training separately while awaiting a decision. There were alleged arrears of two months of registered wages, three months of FGTS, five months of image rights and seven instalments of signing-on fees. His contract had been due to run until 31 December 2027.

The financial disputes led to the unilateral request after unsuccessful talks, with disagreement over legal fees and commissions, and the club unwilling to extend any settlement before the deal’s scheduled end in 2027.

Mayke is the second player in recent months to secure a court rescission at Santos, after forward Tiquinho Soares, who cited delays in wages and image rights.

Signed last season after leaving Palmeiras, Mayke never fully established himself, making 20 appearances. His final outing came in a 3-0 defeat to Coritiba at Neo Química Arena, when he was substituted in the first half and was booed by Santos supporters.
