CD Castellón loan Serpeta to Unionistas until end of season | OneFootball

CD Castellón have confirmed the loan of winger Sergio Sanchis, Serpeta, to Unionistas until the end of the season. The club said in a statement that the move has been completed. He departs in search of more minutes and a bigger role.

Serpeta, 25, joined in the summer from Yeclano. His time at Castellón has been dogged by misfortune. He featured off the bench in the early rounds under Johan Plat, against Racing, Valladolid and Ceuta.

After the change of coach, Pablo Hernández handed him a Copa del Rey start. Early in the tie he suffered a heavy head blow that resulted in a skull fracture.

At Unionistas he will be alongside fellow Castellón loanee Pere Marco. The move offers a chance to build minutes and make his case for next season.

His exit follows other winter business. Castellón have sold Óscar Gil to Real Murcia and Kenneth Mamah to Vanspor of Türkiye, and loaned Nick Markanich to Houston Dynamo in the United States. They have added wing-back Raúl Sánchez and striker Álvaro García to the first-team squad, and defender Ismael Fadel to the B team.
