CD Castellón remain in the promotion fight, but off the pitch the club are finalising post-season works at Estadio SkyFi Castalia, opened in 1987, regardless of whether they go up.
According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, a highly advanced option is a new VIP area in the Tribuna Alta stand. Season-ticket holders there are not expected to be affected, while current press desks and some security spaces would be reconfigured.
Last summer the club revamped Sala Sequiol in Tribuna Baja, now a matchday VIP zone that also hosts institutional events. This season it has sharpened other premium offerings, with the pitchside Bench Experience beside the dugouts the most in demand.
Another priority is upgrading the UCO, the matchday control unit, with high-resolution cameras and a dedicated security room to comply with professional football regulations. From there, staff will oversee surveillance, access control and emergency management, linked to the PA and big screen.
Internal areas will also see investment, with work planned in the dressing rooms and an expanded gym.
Since May 2024, under a 50-year city agreement to 2074, president Haralabos Voulgaris’s regime has upgraded the scoreboard, lighting, access, seating and VIP areas to meet Liga requirements. In time, with on-field progress, the club could consider increasing capacity.
The pact led by mayor Begoña Carrasco also grants exploitation rights beyond football, including naming rights already used for two seasons and the ability to stage events, which the club will look to grow in due course.
