CD Castellón have hit a tougher run, yet their earlier work keeps them in the promotion play-off places. Monday’s meeting with Cultural Leonesa is looming large.

As reported by El Periódico Mediterráneo, Bob Voulgaris and head coach Pablo Hernández flagged in February that setbacks would come sooner or later. When the side were flying, they warned the route would not be straightforward.

In a February interview after the window closed, Voulgaris urged supporters to savour the present, saying seasons like this are rare and should be embraced, not feared. He added there would be pressure, emotion and hard spells, and asked fans to accept them and enjoy the ride.

He also called for unity and belief, stressing that energy, calm and conviction in the stadium matter. If they face what is ahead together, he said it could become something special, with feet on the ground and eyes on the horizon.

Hernández echoed the theme, accepting they would lose matches and underlining the demands of a league full of high-stakes, high-quality opponents. He said the key would be handling those periods and turning momentum quickly, and that keeping bad runs brief would keep them near where they are now.

Castellón now aim to halt the slump.
