CD Castellón are accelerating their women’s programme as part of the club’s wider project, with professionalisation led by player-director Aida Samit.

According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Samit is in her 10th season with the first team and has directed the section since January 2025. She sets out a plan to embed the project within the club.

The aim is a strategic programme with its own identity, a clear structure and medium-term planning. The commitment will be shown through a dedicated budget and real integration. The first team will join the club’s Pro Teams using the most professional part of the Globeenergy training centre in Borriol.

The current structure comprises 10 teams, one benjamín, two alevines, two infantiles, two cadetes, one juvenil, a B team and the first team. Coached by Alberto Berman, they are pushing for promotion to Segunda RFEF against Valencia B and are unbeaten this season. Home matches are at Gaetà Huguet.

The plan includes expanding the pathway with qualified coaches aligned to the model, adding dedicated coordination and gradually bringing in support staff for conditioning, injury prevention and analysis. Recruitment will feature training invitations and school outreach to build social presence.

Long term, the goal is to aim for higher divisions on a solid base. Short term, it is about consolidating structure and competitiveness, medium term, growth in academy and performance. The shift since Haralabos Voulgaris arrived also covers finance, sponsors, institutional backing and visibility for sustainable growth.
