Celta move for Viktor Tsygankov as Valencia keep focus on Ramazani | OneFootball

Celta have targeted Viktor Tsygankov and are negotiating with Girona for the winger, a move that could affect Valencia’s plans.

According to Superdeporte, Valencia have monitored the Ukraine international throughout the summer. Girona’s relegation to Segunda División and his final contract year have turned him into a market opportunity as the Catalan club trims its wage bill.

Even so, Valencia’s first choice for the right flank remains Largie Ramazani, who featured at Mestalla last season. He has been the sporting department’s preferred option since the campaign ended.

The complication lies at Leeds. The English club want a permanent exit, yet the fees involved are beyond Valencia’s reach and Leeds are not, for now, inclined to repeat a loan.

Ramazani would welcome a return after playing a key role in securing survival. He is in contact with members of the squad, and his willingness to come back is not in doubt.

Tsygankov remains on the table for Valencia. His LaLiga experience makes him appealing, although his salary is a major obstacle. He has more than 100 top-flight appearances and can operate on both flanks, mainly from the right cutting inside, offering a different profile to Ramazani.

Celta are also negotiating for Exequiel Zeballos, and view the two deals as mutually exclusive, so progress on one could shut the door on the other. Valencia still prioritise Ramazani, but Leeds difficulties mean alternative routes stay open, with Celta now threatening to get there first on Tsygankov.
