The Scottish Premiership champions have been ambitious this summer, as they have spent handsomely.

After selling the likes of Daizen Maeda and Luis Palma, they have signed the likes of Kasper Hogh, Haissem Hassan, and Camilo Duran to replenish their attack to a new degree, while Mika Baur has joined to boost midfield.

Danish forward Hogh has already scored a hat-trick for the Bhoys and Randers director of football Soren Pedersen hailed his move to the Scottish club.

However, they could lose their star midfielder in the shape of Arne Engels, as West Ham United are expected to pay up to £30m for the Belgian.

Martin O’Neill needs another left-back to come in to provide cover for Kieran Tierney and Celtic look to have found their man.

Chelsea’s highly rated versatile starlet Emenalo emerged as a target for the Bhoys and he visited their training ground as well.

The Scottish giants, though, have made progress for the 18-year-old left-back, who is now close to completing a loan deal to Celtic.

The England Under-19 international is considered a top prospect at Stamford Bridge and the London club want to find him a loan destination where he will get regular game time.

Emenelo can play as a left-back or a midfielder and his versatile profile has appeared attractive for Celtic.

The Blues have extended the teenager’s contract until the summer of 2031, and now he could be on his way to Celtic Park for a season.
