Last night Roma conquered Celtic Park.
The Giallorossi beat the Scots thanks to Ferguson’s brace and Scales’ own goal.
After the match, Wilfried Nancy discussed several topics, including Roma’s strength.
“Some things didn’t work in the first half, but the reality is that Roma’s intensity was too high for us. We never managed to break free from their pressure, and when we did manage to attack, we made the wrong final decisions.”
In the 65th minute, a goal was disallowed and Kelechi Iheanacho, and the Scottish team, aided by the presence of their striker, attempted to reopen the match.
The Giallorossi nevertheless remained in control of the match, but the coach appreciated their effort: “I liked the second half for the team’s reaction.”
He added: “We were compact and close. The first goal we conceded, Scales’ own goal, didn’t help us.” He then concluded by praising his opponents: “In the second half, we might have deserved the goal, but the truth is only one: Roma are too strong for us right now.”
