Cesar Peixoto has confirmed Ladislav Krejci will stay at Wolves beyond the deadline, after the defender returned to the squad for the 4-2 defeat at West Ham on Tuesday.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the head coach described the Czechia international as important and said he must work hard to earn a place in the starting line-up.

He was among the substitutes at the London Stadium but did not come on.

Krejci had missed the previous three Championship matchday squads amid summer speculation over his future.

His only minutes this season have totalled six, coming as a late substitute in the 3-0 win at Port Vale in the Carabao Cup first round on August seven.

The 27-year-old had been linked with Ipswich Town and also turned down approaches from West Ham during the window.

He scored twice in 32 appearances in all competitions last season.
