Charlton have reportedly set their sights on signing Karlan Grant, who has recently become a free-agent after a spell with West Brom.
Charlton Athletic will be looking to show improvement heading into new Championship season, after a frustating second-half of the campaign last term.
The Addicks finished 19th in the second-tier standings in the 2025/26 season, and will be hoping to make a positive start to the 2026/27 league campaign, which gets underway in August.
Charlton boss, Nathan Jones has already added Ivan Misik and Billy Koumetio to his squad this summer, and is seemingly keen to add further reinforcements to his first-team squad, with players being linked throughout the summer.
One area that Charlton could certainly benefit from strengthening is their attacking options, as they struggled for goals at times during the 2025/26 campaign.
Sonny Cary finished as the club's top goalscorer from midfield in the Championship last term, with Charlie Kelman only netting seven league goals for the Addicks, in what was his first season at The Valley, after signing from Leyton Orient in July 2025.

One man that Charlton are looking to add to their squad in the near future is Karlan Grant, who was most recently on the books with West Brom, before being released at the end of his contract earlier this summer. Journalist, Richard Cawley confirmed Charlton's interest in Grant, with Nathan Jones confirming that in a recent press conference.
Grant signed a six-year deal with the Baggies back in 2020 for a rumoured fee of £15m, and he struggled to justify that sizeable price tag that West Brom stumped up for his services.
The forward scored 35 goals in 174 appearances for West Brom, and will be keen to find a club at the earliest of opportunities ahead of the new season.
Grant caught the eye with Huddersfield Town originally, where he netted 23 goals in 57 appearances, which saw him move to West Brom, although fierce competition for places saw his game time limited with the Baggies in recent seasons.
He made 27 league appearances for West Brom last term, as they narrowly avoided relegation from the Championship, finishing four points above the dreaded relegation zone.

Grant would be no stranger to his surroundings at Charlton, having broken through the club's academy system into the first-team picture early into his professional career.
He made his debut for the Addicks in September 2014, and went on to score 21 goals in 98 appearances for the senior team, before going on to sign for Huddersfield for an undisclosed fee.
The 28-year-old still has plenty to offer, and he'll be keen to recapture his best form in front of goal, and Charlton could be the ideal destination for him to do just that.
The Addicks have struggled for consistent goals from their strikers in the last year, and he could be the ideal player to work alongside Charlie Kelman, who didn't quite hit the heights originally expected of him in his first season with the club.
They'll be looking to make a winning start to the 2026/27 Championship campaign when they take on Derby County, in what should be a closely-fought battle at The Valley.
