We’re expecting a very busy week of transfers, with Chelsea still having a load of business to do and little time left to do it in. So understandably, Monday has started pretty hot.
First up there’s news about Mykhailo Mudryk. In a bizarre 1-2, we first heard about serious Leeds interest in taking him on loan, then not long later had multiple top sources tell us that that bid had been rejected.

Transfer insider Ben Jacobs, for example, said that Leeds’ loan offer had been “formally rejected”, and that Chelsea are “no longer considering Leeds as an option.”
Their reasoning is basically that Leeds can’t guarantee Mudryk playing time. After almost two years out banned, he needs games more than anything.
“Key to Chelsea’s thinking is Mudryk’s minutes,” Jacobs adds. They are considering their sister club Strasbourg as an option, in large part probably because he will be guaranteed some minutes there.
The good news is that “multiple clubs in Europa and the Premier League are showing interest”, so it shouldn’t prove difficult to find a more suitable switch before the window shuts.
Cole Palmer is one player everyone is going to be watching tonight, and Xabi Alonso claims he’s going to get the best out of him.
