It’s the 28th day in May – time to check out how our number 28 is getting on this month.
Teddy Sharman-Lowe has not been up to much recently – in fact, he’s not been up to much since January.
The academy produced goalkeeper was having a lovely time on loan at Bolton, only to be recalled to Chelsea in the winter transfer window.
He then proceeded to play not one minute. It’s another example of our dreadful loan strategy, which also saw the likes of Aaron Anselmino and Mamadou Sarr having successful seasons disrupted for no reason.
To make things worse for TSL, Bolton ended up getting promoted to the Championship. He will have been gutted to not be there for that party.
Instead, he spent 6 months being Chelsea’s third choice goalkeeper. The worst 6 months you could hope for in terms of vibes, too. This summer we would imagine he pushes for a permanent move away, to avoid any of this nonsense happening again next year.
Enzo Fernandez is not universally popular with Chelsea fans, but there’s no doubt he’s a leader in the dressing room and someone a lot of the players respect.
Patrice Evra has predicted that Xabi Alonso will get Cole Palmer back to his best, and Chelsea fans are all hoping the same thing.
