Chelsea have two nominations for the Premier League monthly awards for the month of November, as revealed today.
It might be bad timing because Chelsea have just suffered a bit of an embarrassing defeat to Premier League relegation battlers Leeds United last night. But despite this, The Blues have actually had a very good month of November.
Gary Neville got it spot on with his analysis on the game last night, speaking about how the style of play on show from Chelsea last night was just too slow and not quick or direct enough. He’s right as well.
And former Chelsea captain John Terry has gone on a bit of a rant on how bad Chelsea were last night and how they misjudged what to expect when going away to Leeds, a fixture that has a deep history between the two clubs.
But away from all of that, the Premier League have put out the nominations for player and manager of the month awards for the month of November.

Reece James has been nominated for player of the month for November after some fine form, and head coach Enzo Maresca has been nominated for manager of the month for November. A double header!
So could Maresca actually, because Chelsea did have a very good month last month. But I think James has been incredible and has a genuine chance of winning this award.
To be fair though there are a number of other names who could get it as well so James has a fight on his hands here. Even still, to get nominated shows what good form he has been in after finally being able to sustain regular fitness in a Chelsea shirt.
