Chelsea could be interested in signing Bayern Munich defender Kim Min-jae next summer.
The South Korean was heavily linked with a move away from Bayern last summer, and his future came into doubt following Jonathan Tah’s arrival.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were reportedly linked with a move for the 29-year-old last summer, but no one made any concrete approach.

It appears that Chelsea do retain an interest in signing the South Korean, and Bayern might be willing to discuss if the price is right.
Christian Falk tells CFBayern that Min-jae is happy with his current situation, thanks to the excellent rotational policy implemented by Vincent Kompany this season.
The Bild journalist said: “It is TRUE: Kim Min-jae’s agents are informed that Chelsea are interested.
“Chelsea have a shortlist with a few defenders on it – and Min-jae is on this list. Bayern Munich have said that if Kim is happy with the current situation, where he’s not always starting for the club, that’s okay for them.
“If not, and he asks for a move to get more playing time, FC Bayern are then open for talks. If they want to have talks, they then need money to sign other defenders. They don’t currently have the money to do this.
“So, Chelsea are a good club for negotiations, if they need a transfer fee for Kim Min-jae. Don’t forget, Bayern originally paid €50m to Napoli for the South Korean defender – so they’d like to get some money back for him.”
The Bavarian giants are not looking to sign any new players in January, but they have already missed out on Marc Guehi, who has joined Manchester City.
What should really worry the fans is that Dayot Upamecano has not signed a new deal with the club, despite being offered a lucrative contract.
Bayern have been linked with a move for Rennes centre-back Jeremy Jacquet, but Chelsea and Manchester City are fighting to bring him in January.
Kim has a contract at Bayern until 2028, and there is no rush to sell him. He has made seven starts (11 appearances) in the Bundesliga and six appearances in the Champions League.
