Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr. showed a good level against Real Betis as he created constant threats down the left-flank and produced moments of magic. However, it was seemingly not enough to convince the crowd at the Santiago Bernabeu once more.
For the second consecutive game, the Brazilian was subjected to boos from the crowd, and considering how he reacted the first time around, it is clear that it would not have gone down well with the player.
His situation at the club, thus, is far from favourable especially given that his relationship with Xabi Alonso is also not great. Given his contractual situation, talks of a departure are thus not uncalled for.
It is Vinicius Jr’s priority to stay in Madrid, but the current situation does leave some room for rumours of a departure. The Guardian (h/t SPORT), on that front, relay that Chelsea are willing to spend a fortune to land the winger in the summer.

Indeed, the London-based side are prepared to offer £135 million (around €158 million) to sign Vinicius given his unfavourable situation in Madrid.
Their arrival, thus, adds competition to the Saudi Arabian sides who have already been in contention since last April.
Real Madrid and Vinicius have been in discussions over a contract renewal for a while now, but talks hit a standstill when the player and club could not agree on the financial terms.
A lot has changed since then and there is more optimism on the economic front, but it now appears that the sporting aspect of Vinicius’ time at the club is a hurdle.
After all, he has not been regularly among the goals and the rift with the manager only adds to his problems.
