Chicago Fire acquire Noah Allen from Inter Miami | OneFootball

Chicago Fire FC have acquired defender Noah Allen on loan from Inter Miami CF, the clubs announced Thursday.

The 22-year-old Greek youth international's loan is through the 2026 MLS season with a permanent trade option.

Allen will occupy a U22 Initiative roster slot for Chicago.

"As a young defender who has developed through the MLS ranks, Noah has consistently shown that he can compete at the highest levels of Major League Soccer," said Chicago director of football and head coach Gregg Berhalter.

"What stands out is his competitive mentality, his drive to improve and his versatile skill set. He has valuable experience for his age, and we believe he has the qualities to make an impact on this team."

Allen is Inter Miami's all-time appearances leader, featuring 132 times and contributing 3g/7a. He came through Inter Miami's academy before signing a homegrown deal in 2022.

During his time with the Herons, Allen helped the club win Leagues Cup, Supporters' Shield and MLS Cup titles. In 2025, he finished No. 12 on the league's 22 Under 22 Rankings.

"I’m thankful to have been a part of Inter Miami and its history, and to have seen the club grow into what it is today," said Allen. "I’m just grateful that I was able to be a part of it. To everyone who helped me and for all the memories I made, I’ll cherish them with me forever."

Allen continues a busy summer transfer deadline for Chicago, who have added Georgian international midfielder Anzor Mekvabishvili, Norwegian international defender Andreas Hanche-Olsen and former US youth international midfielder Johan Gómez in recent days.

Meanwhile, former Spain international Sergio Reguilón is Miami's top left back upon Allen's exit.
