Chivas Femenil defeat Santos and maintain their strong run in the CL26

Chivas Femenil extended their strong start to the Clausura 2026 after earning a 1–0 win over Santos Femenil on Sunday morning at Estadio Jalisco, in the match corresponding to Matchday 3. Guadalajara reached seven points in the tournament, currently sitting sixth on goal difference, remaining unbeaten and yet to concede a goal.The Rebaño took control from the opening minutes, asserting dominance and possession of the ball. They also showed defensive solidity whenever tested and, with high pressure, created constant dangerous chances that forced the opposing goalkeeper into action to deny the Rojiblancas before halftime.After the break, the Rebaño maintained the same intensity and continued to push in the attacking half through different offensive combinations. The adjustments and substitutions made by head coach Antonio Contreras injected freshness into the side, and the persistence eventually paid off, as Adriana Iturbide scored the winning goal to reflect the Rojiblancas’ dominance on the scoreboard.Chivas Femenil’s next challenge will come during a midweek round, when they host Querétaro on Wednesday, January 21, at Estadio AKRON, for Matchday 4.
