Manchester City welcomed over 200 young people from across Hong Kong for a special football festival designed to promote healthy lifestyles, personal development and the power of football to bring communities together.

Held as part of the Club’s pre-season tour of Asia, the event brought together participants from a range of community organisations, including mixed-ability groups and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), for a day of football and learning.

Led by City in the Community coaches, participants rotated through three interactive activity stations designed to support football development and personal well-being, taking part in small-sided games and technical training activities focused on decision-making and teamwork.

Away from the pitch, participants also had the opportunity to join healthy lifestyle classroom workshops focused on nutrition, sleep, hydration and exercise. Working in teams, the groups completed practical activities designed to highlight the importance of healthy habits both in sport and everyday life.

Ten City players joined the sessions throughout the day, meeting participants and taking part in activities alongside them. Vitor Reis, Divin Mubama, Mahamadou Sangare, Xavier Parker, Jayden Heskey, Kaden Braithwaite, Matty Henderson-Hall, Jack Wint, Max Chabot and Floyd Samba were all in attendance, helping to create memorable experiences for the young people involved.

Club mascots Moonchester and Moonbeam were also on hand to take part in the activities and engage with attendees.

The event highlighted football’s ability to create positive connections, build confidence and bring people from different backgrounds together, while reinforcing the Club’s commitment to empowering healthier lives through football.
