Real Betis could sit down with Leeds United to try to sign Marc Roca on a permanent basis if the Whites win promotion back to the Premier League.
Leeds signed Roca from German giants Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022, but he failed to help them stay up in the Premier League.
Following relegation, the Spanish midfielder left the Elland Road outfit to join Real Betis on loan, triggering a clause in his deal.
Roca has featured 36 times in all competitions for Manuel Pellegrini’s side this season, netting four goals while assisting three times.
Leeds are in the Championship playoff final and they will face Russell Martin’s Southampton at the weekend at Wembley.
If Leeds do not go up then Roca can again trigger the loan clause and stay on at Betis.
Even if Leeds go up though, a Betis stay is not out of the question and, according to Spanish daily Marca, the Spaniards could sit down with Leeds.
Betis would try to agree a permanent deal to keep Roca at the club.
The Spanish side could wait until the summer of 2025, when Roca would only have a year on his deal.
Roca has a contract with Leeds that ends in 2026 and it remains to be seen what lies ahead in his future.
