Newcastle United members had been waiting to see what they would be charged for Premier League tickets at St James’ Park this new 2025/26 season.
The same as last (2024/25) season, you first have to buy a one year/season NUFC membership, the cheapest adult price for one of these is £37.
As Newcastle United members, you need to pay that, to allow you to enter ballots ahead of each home match.
The first home game of the 2025/26 Premier League season at St James’ Park is against Liverpool on Monday 25 August, an 8pm kick-off.
As a bit of background on previous pricing and what happens when you enter each ballot.
Unless you qualify for (have kids) and want to apply for the family enclosure, you click ‘rest of stadium’ and it shows the minimum adult price for tickets for that match.
In the 2023/24 season, as an adult it was a minimum £44 price for Newcastle United home matches, a minimum of £47 for what the club deem the more attractive Premier League games.
Last (2024/25) season, that became a minimum £47 price for Newcastle United home matches, a minimum of £50 for what the club deem the more attractive Premier League games.
For 2025/26?
At noon today (Monday 21 July 2025), the ballot for the Liverpool match opened to Newcastle United members.
The minimum adult price has gone from £50 last season for the more attractive PL matches, to now £58 minimum!
Working on the basis of previous seasons when the ‘cheap’ games have been £3 less, very likely that Newcastle United members will be looking at a minimum of £55 for the lesser matches.
No wonder the club are desperate to have as few season ticket holders as possible, in order to take advantage of what match by match tickets will generate in revenue.
Many Newcastle United members will pay their £37 a year membership fee with the intention of going to just one game during the season. That kind of single trip per season generating a minimum of £95 (£37 membership plus £58 minimum ticket price) if an NUFC member went to this Liverpool game.
Whilst even for Newcastle United members who enter ballots every single Premier League match, last season it appeared they were lucky to get more than two or three successes in 2024/25, whilst some members reported not having a single success in the ballots all season.
