Juventus football chief Frederic Massara ‘has explored the possibility’ of signing West Ham United defender Jean-Clair Todibo, who it is suggested could leave the Hammers on loan.

Todibo joined West Ham in August 2024 on a season-long deal from Ligue 1 side Nice, with the move later made permanent during the summer of 2025.

The Premier League side notably beat off competition from Juventus for his signature.

Todibo’s second season with the Hammers was a far cry from his debut campaign at the London Stadium, as the Frenchman had a falling-out with manager Nuno Espirito Santo.

The defender is now keen on a quick change of scenery, while West Ham are determined to secure the right fee for his departure.

The French centre-back has been attracting significant Serie A attention as he emerged as a ‘plan B’ option for Napoli.

Atalanta emerged as another admirer of the West Ham star and they made ‘surprise contacts’ for the player last week.

Juventus, looking for a centre-back, have now re-opened the Todibo file and Massara ‘has explored the possibility’ of bringing him to Turin, according to Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport.

It is suggested that Todibo could leave West Ham on loan and if this was to happen then he would become very interesting to Juventus.

Todibo is likely to be hugely drawn towards the idea of moving to Juventus, but there appears to be a long way to go before a deal can be struck.

It is unclear how much it will take to convince the Hammers to part ways with the Frenchman, but Juventus will be hoping for a low-cost deal as finances are tight after missing out on the Champions League.

It remains to be seen where Todibo will play next season amid strong transfer interest.

Meanwhile, West Ham have bolstered their squad by signing veteran defender Joel Veltman, who has been praised by the Hammers’ director of player recruitment for his ‘high standards’ and ‘leadership qualities’.
